The end is near

“2012” - The doom and gloom topic of the year. Will we live past December? Some people say they think so, while others disagree and are stocking up on non-perishable food and saving up for their “end-of-world bomb shelter”. All I can say is that every Science Fiction movie I have ever watched (yes my opinions are based on movies), the people we call “scientists” are often wrong about things they said were conclusively true and could do absolutely nothing about when they happened, i.e. “2012”, “War of the Worlds”, “I am Legend”, you get the picture.  In my opinion the world will end but I guess this means that I will never grow old. I know we are all scared of dying, but for me growing old is scarier. You can die at any moment yet people spend their lives thinking about things they wish they had done and writing lists of things they want to do which eventually turns into things they wish they had done.  If you do what you have always done you will get what you have always gotten, something I read in a book called “The Secret”. So throw away those bucket lists and to-do lists and instead take every opportunity that presents itself to you because great memories were never planned for, they just happened.
